Calorific Value Enhancement is the term given to Enersol’s proprietory technology which delivers constant pulses of low-level magnetic energy to liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon fuels. CVE technology exploits the action of magnetism on hydrocarbons by delivering rapid pulses of electro-magnetic energy via a solenoid.
The
advantage of magnetic pulsing is that
hydrocarbon molecules in the fuel are subjected
to multiple disturbances, which allow molecular
conditioning before entry to the combustion zone
(i.e. combustion chamber or burner nozzle).
The
second advantage is that the rapidly expanding
and collapsing field can be applied with very small
currents; typically between 100 & 800 milliamps,
making the CVE unit itself extremely energy
efficient.
A SOLENOID is a 3 dimensional coil of wire which produces a magnetic field when an electrical current is passed through it. A CVE solenoid is created on the fuel feed pipe by carefully wrapping a very high-quality wire made of almost pure copper. When completed, the solenoid is protected against accidental damage with a specially made jacket.
The model variants are designed for different applications and input voltages varying from a 12V vehicle system through to a 440V industrial supply, from which a 240V supply is drawn. The principle differences are in the housing of the electronic components, and the transformers and ballast resistors used to step down the power to 12 volts: the required operating voltage. The unit itself draws less than one amp and so operates at 12 Watts, so whilst being capable of saving tens of thousands, it costs only pennies to power. The unit is extremely reliable and robust, having no mechanical parts and a strong steel and aluminium housing.
CVE 12, CVE24, CVE24R
Housed in the same Enersol-designed extrusion,
these low voltage units are built for vehicular
environments. The components have been
arranged to fit in the smallest practical space, and
the housing designed to fit easily into engine
bays, where space is usually restricted.
The ‘R’ designation is for Rail. The rail industry
has strict standards and requirements to avoid
any possible interference with signalling systems,
and this unit is designed specifically to meet these
standards.
CVE 110, CVE 240
With the exception of the transformer and input
voltage settings, these units are identical. As well
as the CVE system circuitry, they comprise a high
quality transformer and a ballast resistor housed
in its own aluminium extrusion which is fixed to
the body of the housing itself using thermal paste.
This is to ensure that any heat build-up in the unit is properly dissipated. As with the 12 & 24 models, these mains powered units can still be fitted in any orientation.
CUSTOMISED UNITS
Customised units (e.g. units suitable for ATEX
designated environments or use in harsh marine
or military applications) can be produced
according to specifications.
