Results: 15.04% and 18.73% savings in Gas consumption

The trials were undertaken at Eden Club House under the supervision of Property Manager Mike Horkan on 2 Wessex 70 gas-fired boilers which provide room space heating for the club house.

Two LC500C controls with integral hours run meters were fitted to the boilers and the burn activity was recorded daily with the units on and offline on alternate days. Two trial periods were recorded: 12th Nov - 30th Nov and 6th Dec - 20th Dec as shown below.

Savings recorded during these trials were 15.04% and 18.73% respectively. It is estimated that the costs will be recovered in under 18 months. Apart from this financial saving, the savings also represent substantial reductions in greenhouse gases CO and CH .
