Enersol Flomar was contracted to undertake an energy efficiency improvement survey of our steam and condensate system.
After the survey Enersol Flomar won the contract to supply and install the recommended improvements.
The recommended improvements included –
- Fitting an economiser and energy efficient burner to our lead boiler
- Installation of over 1000 lagging jackets throughout the production facility
- Testing of 180 steam traps and the replacement of all faulty traps
- Installation of two new condensate return pumps.
We are delighted as all forecasted energy reduction targets were achieved.

The condensate loop installation, lagging work and steam trap installation have realised us a 10% overall reduction in gas usage on our boiler which can all be attributed to the work your team completed.
The reductions tied in reasonably accurately with the estimations made in your original quotations and has had the positive effect with our board on freeing extra funding for further improvements.

Enersol Flomar successfully completed an energy saving project for Walkers in one of their boiler rooms. Savings in excess of 700 tons of CO2 per annum was achieved.
